Borlase Belts 5 Hits Friday, October 6th, 2023 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Conor Borlase showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the New Orleans Jedi Knights and helped the Chippewa River Chiefs beat them 7-4. The manager for the Jedi Knights told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Borlase keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Conor Borlase singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Presently Borlase is batting .274 with 132 hits and 8 home runs. He has knocked in 75 runs and scored 90 times. |
