Ramos Sizzles -- Smokes Sting for 5 Hits
Thursday, September 28th, 2023
On top of the Cherry Hill hit parade today was Jesús Ramos. He went to the plate 6 times and tagged 5 hits, but it was Houston that marched off with the 13-12 win. He certainly had their number at the plate in this record-making 5-6 performance, however the Sting marked it up in the victory column. The sweet swinging second baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Stealers griped to the press, "As a team, we just didn't do it with the bats and the pitching today. That's why we lost." Jesús Ramos singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Aidan Kenneil in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
This year Ramos has batted at a .264 pace with 138 hits, 15 home runs, 89 RBIs and scored 99 times.
