Kataoka Slams 5 Hits for Eugene Friday, August 11th, 2023 The Eugene Emeralds upended the Palm Beach Bums at Envoys Ballpark today in large part to center fielder Okitsugu Kataoka, who had a smashing day with the bat -- he racked up 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and help propel the Emeralds to a 13-6 victory. Okitsugu Kataoka singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th. In 75 games this season Kataoka is batting .250 with 68 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 41 runs and driven in 26. |
