Fukuda Given 3-Game Suspension
Friday, July 7th, 2023
Shunso Fukuda was incensed today after he was suspended by the commissioner's office for 3 games following a wild argument at the Bethesda-Houston game. The league cited the Hornets left fielder for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," in the notification letter. Fukuda strongly objected to a questionable call by the home plate umpire and was ejected.
"Ejection? Maybe. But not suspension. It's ludicrous is what it is. It's totally uncalled for. I have no idea why. You have to ask the people in the league office that wear the coats and ties and don't get on the field. I didn't cause the altercation, the umpire did. It was a lousy call."
So far this year Fukuda is batting .247 with 6 home runs.
