Bel Air Loses 1B Velázquez, Suspended by League Friday, April 28th, 2023 Jesús Velázquez of the Bel Air Princes has been suspended 3 games by the league for his prolonged argument with the home plate umpire during the game with Westside at Road Warriors Field. The 19-year-old first baseman angrily protested being called out on strikes and wouldn't leave the field after his ejection. It took two coaches and his manager to physically remove the hostile Velázquez from the field. Thus far in 2023 Velázquez is hitting .390 with 1 home run, 15 RBIs, 8 runs scored and has compiled a .431 OBP. |
