August Herrman League Selects Best Performer

So far in his young career, Octávio Valenzuela has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the August Herrman League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 21-year-old Cherry Hill Stealers first baseman hit at a torrid .480 clip as he collected 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
This season Valenzuela is swinging the bat at a .371 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 15 times, while driving in 18. His on-base percentage is .458 and he has played in 18 games.
