5 Hits for Frosties Wickenden Sunday, April 9th, 2023 There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Nathan Wickenden of the Barrow Frosties had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 11-3 win over the New Orleans Jedi Knights at The Republic. The 21-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Nathan Wickenden singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Thus far this year Wickenden is batting .500 with no home runs, 0 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
