League Suspends Louganis Monday, August 29th, 2022 Damian Louganis has been penalized by the commissioner's office for his verbal and physical assault of an umpire. The left fielder unleashed his fury in protesting a third-strike call in yesterday's Sanford-Bethesda game at Hornets Field. And now he has to pay for it -- Louganis has been suspended for 3 games for his unacceptable actions. The commissioner said in his statement that the league would have zero tolerance for any contact with an umpire, unintentional or otherwise. This season Louganis is batting .236 with 14 home runs. He has scored 56 runs and driven in 67. |
