Stingrays Shut out by Sun Friday, August 26th, 2022 Pin-zhen Sun effectively shut down the Stingrays today, blanking them 6-0 on 4 hits, ringing up 5 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The Stealers pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Sun said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." The Stingrays skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today." This year Sun has compiled a 3-6 record with a 3.86 ERA in 13 starts. |
