BOL Votes Vikings Matsumoto Top Player Monday, August 15th, 2022 Sadakuno Matsumoto must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .467 clip, then the Victoria catcher finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the BOL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Matsumoto batted .467 (7-15) with 5 home runs and 8 RBIs. This season Matsumoto has delivered 130 hits in 362 at-bats for a .359 average with 23 home runs.
