López BOL Winner, Top Hurler in July Monday, August 1st, 2022 There's something about a young rookie winning the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Pedro López, a 21-year-old starter for the Barrow Frosties. In July, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.64 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 33 innings, fanned 31 and held opposing teams to a .154 average. López has made 18 starts, tossed 110 innings, struck out 93 batters and walked 52. His record is 9-4 with a 3.85 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .242 batting average. |
