He suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Houston Sting. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the reliever. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." This season in 34 relief appearances Kitamura has thrown 37.2 innings and collected no saves. His won-lost record is 0-0 with a 10.04 ERA. |
