When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Alfonso Emesto of the Eugene Emeralds. He tore up the New Orleans Jedi Knights to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the Eugene 10-5 win today at Prefontaine Park. "Emesto was a tough out today," the New Orleans manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
