Pittman Blisters Albuquerque Saturday, June 18th, 2022 5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Jon Pittman of the Westside Road Warriors. He tore up the Albuquerque Human Beings to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the Westside 11-2 win today at The Whig Stadium. "Pittman was a tough out today," the Albuquerque manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jon Pittman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Sergio Marino in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. So far this season Pittman has put up a .367 batting average with 58 hits, 4 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
