Tuesday, June 14th, 2022
After injuring himself, Road Warriors closer Alfonso Enríquez headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Enríquez will miss at least 13 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow.
Looking at his pitching stats so far this season, Enríquez has 28 relief appearances, pitched 26.2 innings and fashioned a 2-2 record with a 1.69 ERA. He has recorded 16 saves, struck out 43 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .192 when he is on the hill.
