Baker August Herrman League's Hottest Hitter Monday, May 23rd, 2022 21-year-old Allen Baker made a few Westside headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and August Herrman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .526 average. Baker collected 5 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 5 runs. So far this year in 43 games Baker is hitting .316 with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
