Great Stroke: Morgan Gets 5 Hits Saturday, September 11th, 2021 It seemed that San Angelo third baseman Barrett Morgan could do no wrong as the Mustangs kayoed the Frosties 13-10 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Barrow pitchers couldn't get him out as Morgan seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Mustangs were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Barrow fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Morgan in the postgame press interview. Barrett Morgan hit a solo-shot off Mai Do in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This season Morgan has delivered 130 hits in 527 at-bats for a .247 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .334 clip and his totals also include 57 RBIs and 60 runs scored. This year Morgan has played in 138 games. |
