Hernández Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 Nichols right fielder Carlos Hernández really lit up the Palm Beach Bums with a 5-hit barrage today at Envoys Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Gnats to a 15-2 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Carlos Hernández flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and tripled in the 8th. To date this season Hernández is hitting .356 with 8 home runs. |
