Cherry Hill's Hernández AHL's Best Monday, May 24th, 2021 25-year-old Jorge Hernández made a few Cherry Hill headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and August Herrman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 30 at-bats to put up a .433 average. Hernández collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs. On the year Hernández has hit .405 with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 15 runs. |
