Hit Parade: Pepper Pops 5 Hits Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 No matter what the Cherry Hill Stealers threw at him today, Dean Pepper hit it. He easily handled Stealers pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Bums to a 12-9 triumph at Tim Raines Stadium. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Cherry Hill skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Dean Pepper hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Pepper is currently hitting at a .258 pace with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
