Olvera 5-5 Against River Chiefs
Wednesday, April 28th, 2021
If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. At Penlee Park Guillermo Olvera showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Chippewa River Chiefs. However this great day with the bat didn't pay off in a victory. The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws fell 8-7. The manager of the River Chiefs told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames. Luckily we came away with a win today. Olvera just didn't get enough help." If Olvera keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Guillermo Olvera singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Olvera is hitting .391 so far this season with 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 27 hits including 3 home runs, 15 walks and .511 OBP.
