Ford Frick League Picks Top Performer Monday, August 21st, 2023 Phoenix fans have something to crow about today as Phoenix left fielder Ehsan Ruchika nabbed the Ford Frick League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Ruchika. He posted a .563 average (9-16) this past week with 5 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 8 runs scored. This year Ruchika is hitting at a .336 pace with 18 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has played in 90 games and scored 44 times. |
