Arnaud Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Sunday, July 2nd, 2023
After the Spokane 13-8 victory over New York and his 5-hit day left fielder Daniel Arnaud told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good. Three or four hits even better, five or more are out of sight ... and if it is in pro ball, it is really something special." The 26-year-old player gained that distinction today at Confucius Field with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the New York Ninjas. The skipper of the Bulldogs spoke glowingly of Arnaud, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Daniel did that to perfection today." Daniel Arnaud singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
This season in 71 games, Arnaud has hit at a .275 clip with 69 hits, 1 home run, 28 RBIs and 59 runs scored.
