Newark's Veerender Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 Thanks to Jaideva Veerender and his big bat, the Jail Birds derailed the Spokane Bulldogs 29-10 today at The Kennel. The Newark catcher had a standout game with 5 hits in 7 at-bats. Jaideva Veerender singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a three-run double in the 9th. Veerender is currently batting .297 with 8 home runs and 49 RBIs. |
