Afendulov Named FFL Batter of the Month Thursday, June 1st, 2023 Alek Afendulov put together a good May to earn the Ford Frick League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Sandy Springs officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Spartans first baseman posted a .389 batting average with 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and 28 runs scored. So far this season Afendulov has gotten 65 hits in 179 at-bats for a .363 batting average with 2 home runs. His stats include 32 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has played in 45 games. |
