Duccio Batters Newark Big Time Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Ennio Duccio showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Newark Jail Birds and helped the Ottawa Outlaws beat them 22-4. The manager for the Jail Birds told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Duccio keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Ennio Duccio hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Daniel Agria in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 7th. For the year Duccio is batting .333 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 7 runs scored. |
