Mustang Shut out Snaps, Carr Winner Monday, September 5th, 2022 "That's one thing that has never changed in this game -- pitching can control hitting," the Mustang manager told reporters after today's game. The Snaps ran into a buzzsaw as Edward Carr cut them down to size 5-0 with a 2-hit shutout. His skipper added, "He knows exactly what he's doing. He's not going to throw you a good pitch until you make him throw one." In the complete game whitewash the Carson City hurler doled out 2 walks and registered 13 strikeouts. In the postgame press conference his catcher said, "Edward goes out there and just goes about his business. I don't think he gets too concerned about what's going on. You can call any pitch and you know where he's going to be." Carr also got some praise from the Cincinnati manager. "He really kept us in check today. Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away... we took some pathetic swings." This year Carr has a 8-9 record and a 4.90 ERA. |
