Great Day for Encarnación -- 5 Hits Saturday, August 13th, 2022 Xavier Encarnación really did a number on the Bulldogs in the Temple 13-2 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But Xavier Encarnación did just that today for the Goers and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 24-year-old center fielder said after his record-setting performance. Xavier Encarnación struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. In this current campaign Encarnación is hitting at a .246 clip with 13 home runs and 57 RBIs. |
