ACL Names Best Player Monday, June 20th, 2022 Gilberto Jiménez burst onto the Alexander Cartwright League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie right fielder for Newark garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 21-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .455 (10-22) with 3 home runs and 7 RBIs last week. This season Jiménez has delivered 82 hits in 257 at-bats for a .319 average with 11 home runs. He is getting on base at a .390 clip and his totals also include 44 RBIs and 46 runs scored. This year Jiménez has played in 67 games. |
