Ouch! San-pao Chio Shelved by Injury Sunday, May 15th, 2022 Watching San-pao Chio getting helped off the field today at Cobras Ballpark, fans of the Jacksonville Hellcats feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the shortstop will miss 7 months with a ruptured achilles tendon. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Chio suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Jail Birds. Currently Chio is batting .174 with 1 home run and 3 RBIs. |
