3-HR Dream Game for Tyree Monday, April 11th, 2022 Fireworks exploded with regularity in the Ducks-Snaps game, but it wasn't a match that set them off -- it was the bat of Calvin Tyree. He belted 3 home runs in an awesome display of sheer power. In the 7-6 Long Island victory Tyree stunned the Snaps pitching staff for 3 hits in 4 at-bats and knocked in 3 runs. After the game, Tyree said simply, "I saw everything they threw at me. Hitting was a piece of cake today... with lots of extra icing on it." Calvin Tyree hit a solo-shot off Gabriel Núñez in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Gabriel Núñez in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Bhanuratha Vaithu in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th. Tyree is hitting .320 so far this season with 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 8 hits including 3 home runs, 6 walks and .438 OBP. |
