Orton 5-7 for Sandy Springs Thursday, April 7th, 2022 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Sandy Springs's Don Orton had a very special day against the Rats when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and led the Sandy Springs Spartans to a 13-11 win at The Rat Hole. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Orton said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Don Orton singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Eric Edwards in the 5th, doubled in the 8th, flied out in the 10th and grounded out in the 11th. |
