ACL Player of the Week Goes to White of Newark Monday, September 20th, 2021 21-year-old Doug White made a few Newark headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .478 average. White collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. So far this year in 144 games White is hitting .351 with 37 home runs, 120 RBIs and 115 runs scored. |
