Rowdy Players Suspended by League Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 It was a pretty intense fight, so Michael Comelay and Stephen Courthope were both suspended today for 5 games for their part in a brawl which happened in a game between the Madison Beehive and the Newark Jail Birds at The Hive. Comelay said, "Luckily nobody was hurt. I think we both overreacted to the situation." Hitting .206 to date, Comelay has 21 home runs and 57 RBIs. He has played in 85 games. To this point in the season, Courthope has put up these figures: 3-4 record, 18 relief appearances with 36.2 innings, 1 save, 34 strikeouts, 43 walks and a 10.55 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .320 batting average. |
