Player of the Week Trophy to Woodard Monday, July 19th, 2021 So far in his young career, Artie Woodard has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Alexander Cartwright League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats second baseman hit at a torrid .381 clip as he collected 8 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Thus far this year Woodard has hit .285 with 10 home runs and 67 RBIs. |
