Gonzáles Rips Silicon Valley for 6 Hits Sunday, July 18th, 2021 António Gonzáles had an answer for everything the Silicon Valley Hackers threw him today in the Newark 11-2 triumph at San Jose Municipal Stadium. He made good contact 6 times and 6 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Newark center fielder went 6 for 6 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Gonzáles said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." António Gonzáles doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Gilberto González in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Currently Gonzáles is batting .355 with 12 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
