García Blanks Snaps
Saturday, June 12th, 2021
In an outstanding outing, Julián García tamed Cincinnati on a 1-hit shutout. The Rock River hurler went the distance, finishing with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 8-0 win.
"He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Cincinnati manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
García has gone 2-2 this season with an ERA of 5.30 and 62 strikeouts in 69.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .271 against him.
