Sandy Springs's Peņa Down with Injury Friday, June 11th, 2021 Domingo Peņa at first refused to leave today's Wichita-Sandy Springs game after he suffered a bone spur in his elbow while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Sandy Springs reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Peņa out of action for 4 months.
