Ruckus Reaps 4-Game Suspensions Friday, August 25th, 2023 Yesterday at Hell Stadium Kevin Yates and Keith Rogers got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the El Paso Diablos and Coronado Phantoms. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified both ballclubs that Yates and Rogers would be given 4-game suspensions for fighting. This year Yates is hitting .259 with 4 home runs and 42 RBIs in 75 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .310 with 16 walks and 31 runs scored. This year Rogers has gone 7-10 with an ERA of 6.06 and has 121 strikeouts in 150 innings. |
