Cunningham and Francis Fight, Suspended 8 Games Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 Bad blood could be brewing between the Freedom and the Baristas. In yesterday's contest at The Bell, Philadelphia's Darren Cunningham and Silver Lake's Jeffery Francis caused the benches to empty when they went toe-to-toe against one another. Only Cunningham and Francis were ejected by the umpires. Upon hearing that the two players had been suspended 8 games each by the league office, harsh comments came from both clubhouses. League officials have warned both organizations about the consequences of premeditated retaliation. Currently Cunningham has 18 home runs and a .288 batting average. Checking out his stats for the season, Francis has racked up 1 win and 3 losses in 9 starts, 7.71 ERA and struck out 30 batters in 39.2 innings. |
