Meredith Socks it to Titans, Cracks 5 Hits Friday, July 14th, 2023 Reggie Meredith exploded for a barrage of base hits today at The Coal Mine. The Antioch right fielder had a field day in the 4-1 triumph over the Chicago Titans, finishing with a 5-5 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Meredith must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Reggie Meredith singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and singled in the 8th. This year Meredith has hit at a .369 pace and produced 16 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 18 runs. |
