Antioch Hunt Gets the Cycle Monday, June 19th, 2023 Getting 5 hits in a game is a pretty good feat, but when those 5 hits include a single, a double, a triple and a home run -- that makes it extra special. The Antioch right fielder did just that, hitting for the cycle and sparking the Coal Miners to a 11-6 victory over the Freeze at The Ice Box. The elated Hunt told reporters, "Winning is the name of the game ... and hitting for the cycle puts a little icing on it." The 5-6 day was also good for his batting average as he saw it rise a few percentage points. In addition, Hunt had 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Will Hunt hit a solo-shot off Robinson Pedercini in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th and grounded out in the 9th. To date this year Hunt is batting .322 with 11 home runs. |
