Bad Behavior Costs Parks and Perez
Monday, June 12th, 2023
Baseball confrontations occasionally get intense and sometimes that tension becomes too much and boils over into more than just words. This time it happened to Indian Wells's Randall Parks and Winston's François Perez. The two were the main participants in a fight that cleared the benches. Today both were suspended by the league for 8 games for their aggressive actions.
"I hope things settle down now," the manager of the Unionists said later. "There's no reason for us to be locked in a cycle of revenge. We all need to focus on baseball instead."
Parks is presently batting .300 with 10 home runs, 45 runs scored and 44 RBIs. His OBP is .399.
Perez has 1 save in 19 relief appearances this season with a 2-3 record and 7.63 ERA.
