Franco Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 António Franco exploded for a barrage of base hits today at House of Pain. The Indian Wells right fielder had a field day in the 20-11 triumph over the Reno Raiders, finishing with a 5-7 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Franco must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. António Franco singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, flied out in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Currently Franco is hitting .323 and has collected 6 home runs, 34 RBIs and scored 31 times, while playing in 50 games. |
