Arsenal Johnson Suspended Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 South Bay third baseman Nick Johnson was ejected in the game between the Arsenal and Phantoms for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Johnson was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Johnson said in the locker room after the game. Now Johnson must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Johnson has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 2 games." For the season Johnson is batting .327 with 17 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 14 times and batted in 10. |
