Aeropostales Chill Kimura's Hot Streak Friday, August 26th, 2022 The El Paso Diablos lost to the Indian Wells Aeropostales 5-3 today at Stars Field, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Yoshihisa Kimura's 20-game hitting streak. "We felt if we could slow down Kimura, we would win the game," the Aeropostales manager explained after the game. "They really seemed to feed off of his streak, so we really wanted to make sure they had nothing to feed off of." To date Kimura has chalked up a .328 average with 2 home runs, driven in 31 runs and scored 56 times. |
