Going, Going, Gone! Alemán Hits 3 Homers Saturday, July 16th, 2022 Armando Alemán of the Baristas brutalized El Paso pitching, parking three home runs into the bleachers in today's 12-10 victory. The Silver Lake first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploded off his bat all day long. "I don't try to hit homers," he said. "I try to go out there and have good at-bats. If I put a good swing on the ball, then it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one. I just try to have good at-bats." Armando Alemán singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Tommy Bartlett in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Carlos Vega in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th. Thus far this season Alemán has hit .319 with 14 home runs, 41 RBIs and scored 39 times. |
