Unionists Chill O'Neil's Hot Streak Tuesday, July 5th, 2022 Mark O'Neil's 27-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Horseman 10-3 setback to the Unionists. O'Neil went without a hit in 3 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it. "I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," O'Neil said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight." So far this season O'Neil has 16 home runs and a .370 batting average. |
