Olsen Slams 3 Deep for Albuquerque Friday, May 27th, 2022 Going... Going... Gone! Kevin Olsen did it three times in the Albuquerque 10-6 victory over the Acapulco Banditos. Three home runs in one game! "I was in a groove," he said, "and every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." Commenting after the game to the press, the elated Olsen explained, "I tell you what, I was so shocked because I didn't think the last ball had enough to get out. I thought it was just going to be a long out." For the day the Albuquerque left fielder went 3-3 against Acapulco with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting. Kevin Olsen hit a two-run home run off Wayne Penfield in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Wayne Penfield in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Wayne Penfield in the 5th and walked in the 7th. So far this year Olsen has 9 home runs and a .204 batting average. |
