Hill Razor-Sharp, Shuts out Joplin Saturday, May 14th, 2022 After his 4-0 shutout win against the Fireballs, Rick Hill said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good." They were better than good as the Freeze pitcher notched 5 strikeouts, surrendered no walks, allowed 3 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long. Hill has posted a 3-1 record for the year with a 3.49 ERA. Teams are hitting .239 against him and he has rung up 40 strikeouts in 49 innings. |
